The 90s are the decade we all love at the moment. Double denim and pastel is everywhere and we love it! I love the cute hairstyles from this time. I am slightly biased as I am a 90s baby, it is the decade I tried many styles. The good, the bad and the ugly. I love twisted styles. I tried this twisted look in the 90s and I still like wearing it today. If you are feeling like your hairstyle routine needs a little shakeup of your hair is just going a bit insane, this is the style for you. It is super quick and looks so cute. So, keep reading this step-by-step tutorial and share your gorgeous look by #wearcliphair.
Step number 1: Prepare your hair
This is my favourite part of this look because it is totally easy. It doesn’t matter if you have freshly washed or second-day hair. It was my go-to as a teenager when my hair was super frizzy. It looks lovely with thicker locks. I used a full set of tape in Cliphair extensions but you can use clip-in or other types of extensions too.
Step number 2: Create your twist
Create a centre part and gather a section of hair on one side, twirl your section down one side, add a smaller piece of hair and twist it in the opposite direction. A little french twist always looks great. When you are just above the nape of your neck secure with a clear hair tie.
Step number 3: Add a little sparkle
This is a relatively simple look but that doesn’t mean it has to be boring. Adding a little glitz and sparkle. You can do this with some sparkly bobby pins that have been all the rage recently or use a mini scrunchy over your hair tie. This is a super-easy way to jazz it up. If you are not into sparkles, try metal. Metallic hair ties are great to draw attention to different areas of your hair and look edgy. You can choose something that is similar to your natural hair colour so that shimmers subtly or you can choose something bright and daring that can really catch your eye. This is going to be a hit from Halloween all the way to new years eve.
I cannot wait to see your looks!
